Sue is the Director of Tax Planning and a Financial Planner at the Financial Consulate. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). She earned her Masters Endorsement in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University in addition to her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education from The University of Toledo.
After working as a CPA for 15 years in various industries as well as with public accounting firms, Sue joined the Consulate to better integrate her tax acumen into the broader context of financial planning. A former teacher, she still enjoys educating in person and in the past has authored a Small Business column with Examiner.com.
Sue is a NAPFA-Registered Advisor, the past NAPFA Baltimore Study Group Leader and current NAPFA Northeast/Mid-Atlantic Regional Board Member. She lives in Cockeysville, Maryland with her family. Outside of taxes and financial planning she enjoys quilting and volunteering at the Veterans Affairs Community Living/Rehabilitation Center and House of Ruth Maryland.
