Sue is a Senior Advisor at the Financial Consulate with over 20 years of experience managing taxable and tax-exempt pension trust assets. She is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner and has obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton as well as a Master’s degree from Cornell University.
Having joined the firm in July of 2008, Sue ended a 10 year stint with Constellation Energy Group as Director – Pension Investments. Sue’s driving belief is that people can more effectively focus on personal growth once they have attained a certain level of comfort with financial decisions and the allocation of their financial resources.
Sue counsels that “making life-changing decisions such as sending a child to college (or going to college), buying a second home, retiring or a career move is less stressful once the probable financial path has been mapped out. Other changes in our lives that we do not like to think about or anticipate, such as the death of a loved one or separating from one’s spouse, can be made less emotionally painful when decisions are made with the counsel of knowledgeable and experienced advisors."
Outside of the office, Sue is active in the running community and has coached women runners for the Baltimore Women’s Classic for the past six years, and she serves as an Associate Trustee of Sheppard Pratt Investment, Inc. She also enjoys swimming, cross-country skiing and traveling with her husband, Jeff Caldwell, with whom she lives in Pikesville. Having moved to the Baltimore area 10 years ago, she is astounded at the warmth and friendship extended to her and her husband by its citizens.
